Terrain
Camps, woods: Rough
going, cover, -1 to command if trying to move through or out of terrain
Fortifications: +2
morale vs. shooting and combat. +2 combat result and can gain 1 support (for
total maximum +3)
Scenario Special Rules
Snowstorm: At the start of
the game, all shooting suffers a -2 modifier to hit. At the end of each turn,
roll a die. On 4-6 the snowstorm calms down. After it calms down there is a -1
modifier to hit, which can further calm down so that there are no modifiers.
Reinforcements: Starting on
round 4, the Russians roll one die for the left flank and one die for the right
flank. On the roll of 6 a reinforcement unit enters the table from that flank.
The unit can be attached to any Division (but does not increase its size for
purposes of broken brigades). When it enters the unit makes one move and then
stops. It can’t fire or assault on the turn it enters.
Note: It is assumed that the Swedish
cavalry is occupied tying down Russian defenders on the left and right wings.
Hence they are not present in this scenario and the Russian reinforcement roll
reflects how well the Swedish cavalry succeeds.
Commands: No “With Me”
commands
Period Special Rules
Formations: Attack columns
and mixed formation are not allowed. A column can change into line only with a
left face or right face command.
Move & fire: Units
can’t fire if they have made more than one move in a turn.
Interpenetration: If a unit’s
centre moves through another unit, roll a die for each unit. On 4+ that unit is
disordered.
Victory Conditions
The Swedes must break the Russian
army and/or hold point A or B (see map below).
The game lasts 8 turns.
