Back to Stockholm and Mini Wars

After quite a while (covid and all) I visited my mates in Stockholm's premiere wargaming club for historical wargames

Andy, Jesper and Micke (aka Dalauppror) welcomed me at the club!

Obvious choice for our game was 1808 Russo Swedish war using Rebels & Patriots -rules by Osprey (Micke is the co-writer of them)

Roma!

Big theme for Summer and hole 2022 was Rome. During the first half we played a campaign with Infamy Infamy -rules (rules are excellent, scenarios are quite badly designed) and then to celebrate my 50th birthday we traveled to Italy and Rome. While there we played a game of Saga with my brother in LAw Petri. My newly painted Republican Romans were duly beaten by Petri's Graeculi.

Song continues to be my number one game with almost 80 (all physical) games played this year.

So naturally I've painted a lot for it. Towards the end of the year House Martell was launched for the game and we started a campaign for it, so Martells are a regular on my painting desk now.

In Ropecon I also plundered into Kill Team and found it very nice 

(I just can't make myself play 40K anymore, even if I own several miniatures)

Saga - Age of Alexander

Release of a new "universe" for Saga always boosts Saga activity and related painting. I have plenty of miniatures already for this age, but not so many Persians (I'm also yet to find where I have stashed my Indians) and started painting more of them. Nothing really ready yet.
